Home Visits

Doctor's bag

Requests for home visits must try and be made before 10.30am.  Visiting will then take place at any time after morning surgery.  Please only request a home visit if you are housebound and are not able to attend the surgery by any means, lack of transport is not an acceptable reason.  However, if your illness is such that you are unable to come to the surgery,

Please note that the receptionists are trained to deal with your call and are expected to ask for the reason that the patient is requesting the home visit and this will be passed to the doctor who can prioritise their workload and may telephone prior to visiting.

Please note: If you are registered out of area we will not be able to provide a home visit.  You will need to contact NHS 111 for advice.

District nurses will carry out home nursing to the housebound for those who require it.
