When We Are Closed

All Medway GP surgeries are closed for GP and staff training purposes in the afternoon once a month from 12pm. Please find listed below the remaining closure dates for 2017:

21st February 23rd March 20th April 4th May
21st June 18th July 23rd August 21st September
19th October 15th November 14th December
During this time emergency cover will be offered by NHS 111.

After 6.30pm until 8.30am Monday to Friday, weekends and on Bank Holidays please telephone 111.

The receptionist, nurse or duty doctor will always attend to your call. When the surgery is closed, calls will be dealt with by a doctor or nurse from the Medway On Call Care Service.

NHS 111

Shoud you require advice or guidance on health matters, NHS 111 offers a nurse-led advice line. They can be contacted on 111, or by visiting http://www.nhs.uk/111.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
